find instructions on how to write PROPER poetry? i have the raw structure and do so understand emotion,have lived it.just the proper structure,of words to be commonly accepted.please no bul. sh.t answers. i am searching for logic only.

The great thing about poetry is...

there is no propriety about it.

However, if you're asking about forms and how to use them to challenge yourself to write better poetry, there is one book that should be in the hands of every single poet.

Lewis Turco's Book of Forms

Everything you would learn in a graduate program about poetic technique is in this book.

Go with your feelings
Poems need not rhyme

you can even get "stream of thought" poetry
Or Haiku - a Japanese style.

who needs structure - unless you are doing a Sonnet.

Just keep writing - not everything will be fantastic, But you can go back an fiddle.
