Just got into a debate about history with my father and the attention span of people was mentioned, Hitler captured their attention. How did he do this? By relating to their emotions. Would that go to the KISS principle, the simplicity of our emotions.

I mean, is our obsession with a certain factor that makes us more receptive to information offered on that topic and allows us to capture it even if it is whispered from a range that you normally wouldn't hear? Can you sense the interest?

thank a veteran
We wear the poppy red to represent our dead
Brave men who fought in the war that’s what we wear the poppy for
You may not have meet um’ but still they gave you freedom
Thank a veteran today thank them in every single way
Every thing you have today wouldn’t be this way
If it wasn’t for the people before now you ask me how
They fought in the Great War and went through pain and sore
Just for you today the didn’t even know you but hey!
That didn’t stop them so take time to remember them

I want to move out to LA after I go to college to pursue Acting but I was wondering whether or not if majoring in Theatre arts be a smart idea? I do have the desire to want to Act and hope that I would be able to make it in this business but then again, a lot of people don't make it. So would majoring in theatre arts give me an edge over a lot of people trying to make it or would I just be waisting a load of money? should I just simply take acting classes and major in something else?

In English class we just finished reading Macbeth and now we have to do a skit based on it in the style of a news cast. I would love some ideas on how to make this really funny and maybe have a modern twist. Have any ideas or websites I could check out?
One idea was to make the three witches in the story hippies and then everyone else conservative people, but I dont think Im really going for that. Need the help ASAP please. Thanks a ton.

When World War I erupted in Europe, what was the initial response of the U.S.? Why was it difficult for the U.S. to maintain that position? How did submarines play a role in leading the Americans to war? and... what other factors led to American involvement?

Lots and lots of detail so i can fully understand this...

The show I'm currently working on is full of silly nonsensical actors and crew. I think that if they didn't screw around and spend their time being fake to each other we would have a much better show. I often sit among them during after rehearsal notes and listen to them ramble on and on about nothing and I wonder to myself, "What the hell am I doing here?" Have any of you ever felt that way?

im reading is geneology of morals but im a little confused.

according to him where did guilt and conscience come from?

it has to be more than a "debt" as he claims. because if i were to kill a person with no punishment, i for one would feel bad. not because of retribution. but because i caused a great suffering.

In U.S. History we watched the Gettysburg movie and now have a huge study guide over it all...
-my class studied the actual civil war before the movie but i just moved and came in at the wrong time- yet still have to do the work.

So, one question i can't figure out for the life of me is..
What objections does Confederate General Hood make regarding attacking Little Round Top? What alternative does Hood suggest to Lee's orders?

When i was watching the movie, i remembered Hood went to talk to Lee about a different plan because he believed the one General Lee had would fail- but i can't remember what he suggested and it is no where to be found on the internet.
Any help would be great- Thank You!

what are the rules when it comes to writing a novel that is based on real life people, places and events? does permission have to be sought from all these people, or would a simple name change 'to protect their identities' be sufficient? could someone sue for libel if they recognised themself or their home town in a book? what is the law in this regard? (for example, when frank mccourt was writing his memoir 'angela's ashes', did he have to seek permission from everyone he ever met?
