I have a Sony Super SteadyShot DSC-W200, 12.1 megapixels, Carl Zeiss lense, etc. Is this a good camera?

Yes, it's a decent camera for what it is - which is a "high end" pocket-sized camera. You have the better (larger) sensor and an optical viewfinder, which I would look for in a similar purchase. You also have real image stablization instead of just an ISO shift, so that's a plus.

Now the challenge is in living up to what the camera is capable of giving you. See some examples here: http://www.flickr.com/cameras/sony/dsc-w200/

Yes you do. Read and study the Owner's Manual and you'll get lots of enjoyment with it. Learn its limitations (all cameras, no matter how expensive and technologically advanced have limitations) and learn how to work around them and/or minimize them.
