Clive Cussler and Robert Cole are my favorites. Try "Look Away" by the later for a awesome Civil War story that blows you away, or also by Cole, "The children of god" another great one.

ck1, try The classics, Edgar Allen Poe, you can get a book with about 20 of his short stories. Or, If you wish to scare your mind, not your eyes, Try H P Lovecraft. He was truely the master of scaring you without seeing anything.

I'm not up to my usual number this year. I'm reading three books at the moment and they are numbers 29, 30 and 31. Usually by this time of year I'm up to between 80 and 120. Hmm...my only excuse is that it was a very tough year for my family and me. I guess I'll have to read about 50 between now and the end of December. Anyone have some suggestions for SHORT books? :)

All told, not counting poetry books, I'm guessing about forty or so. Some have been set aside to be finished, others have been read repeatedly. A few I know almost by heart. When I'm not reading, I'm looking for a good film on TV, or am here on the computer. All this when I should be writing, I should be writing, I should ...

read 33 over summer, read about 3 or 4 a weekend. if you do the math that's 200-250 books. but i love to reread so it's not like i'm actually "reading" 250 different books.
