I am tying to find a good moving head light. Anyone know of a good company or good light that is not very expensive?

Depends on what you want it to do exactly. Look at SamAsh.com or any site that sells DJ equipment. A brand that I like right now is called Chauvet but others are good as well.

You can also look at these sites for what you want then check on ebay to see if anyone is selling their stuff. You never know!

good luck

Moving heads aren't cheap and the inexpensive ones are usually dimmer with less features than their more costly cousins. I would look into Martin if your serious about using it in theater work. You can get cheaper ones but if you can't use them like you need to they're just a waste of money. Don't forget that an intelligent light can take up a lot of channels on your light board. My advice is make a list of the things that the light absolutely must do, then list what you would like it to do, then add you "dream list" of things it would be really cool to be able to do. Find the light you like then learn all you can about it before you buy it. Take your time and make your decision wisely. It is better to wait and get what you want than to waste money on a useless piece of equipment.
