Night of Crucifixion

Rain of sin
Upon
The Jews and heathen.
The ground gives way to
Mushy dirt of wickedness.
Clouds grow sackcloth,
Day turns to night
Thunder rolls over Golgotha
Upon this sight.

I look upon my blood-stained Savior.
Lashed by the centurions; crowned with thorns,
Bearing the cross and mocked by man
Pieced by pikes driven with pain.
Yet the mob was surely entertained.

Beyond is the wooden stature of the cross.
Beholding, splinters on the back of the Holy One.
Pierced, gasping, and feeling
The trickling of blood and onslaught of rain.
Yet He’s gazing and saying,
“Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
O! What agony he must be going through!

Upon the knoll, I see,
Many rising and crying.
Rising for air,
Crying for loved ones are near,
Yet no one hears.

Night of salvation,
Death of my Messiah.
The heavenly one,
Who versed against Satan
And won.

I was just going over my notes that I took from Stephen King's On Writing and Terry Brooks' Sometimes the Magic Works concerning their rejections. Yes I took notes...my wife calls me a nerd so I figured I might as well roll with it. Anyway, like the question states, how many "no's" did you receive before your first "yes"? Two of my early stories (written almost 20 years ago) are nearing the repolished stage and I'll be making the leap by submitting to magazines.

We can also give HOPE, CHARITY, etc....while some cant be given like FAITH, PATIENCE, etc (which are practiced & nurtured).......

So why is Justice so difficult to give & practice, & more often so fragile to nurture?

I occasionally find judgments of myself of others in responses to questions. I am curious by what moral or ethical standard do we find it acceptable to judge another.

I have the right to judge others because...?

So I'm cast as Lane, the manservant. Should I play him up as chummy with algernon and like the other characters (cocky selfish) or should I play him grumpy and old?
