Hey! I'm trying to learn how to use my Pentax-A 50 mm camera and I thought I had it down, but apparantly, I need a refresher...can anybody tell me where I adjust my F-stop and shutter speed? One's on an upper dial, and the other's on a ring. I think the camera I have operates my the camera automatically setting the aperature, and it gives you the idealized shutter speed, but how do I do it? Thanx in advance!!!

Hi, I just took this photo and like the angle and expression, I am gutted that his face is over exposed, I have tried changing the contrast and the saturation, I have also tried to add a warming filter and nothing looks right, anybody got any other ideas aside from the ones I have already tried.

Cheers Blue

Hey everyone. I am in my third year of high school, but I want to be an actor for maybe a TV Series or be in Hollywood movies. What are the steps I'll have to take to do so? (i.e. Audition at _____, attend ____ school, etc.). Also any recommendations, tips, and maybe help on how to look up auditions for extras would be helpful. Thank you very much!

can anyone help with the racial groups that the nazis where ok with and the ones they where not ok with?
being celtic, im just curious where ''my'' group would have fallen in the nazis league table. would the celts have been seen as on the safe top end of the league table along with the nordic people or at the bottom of the table along with the jews and slavs ?
i know the nazis admired britains empire, but where anglo-saxons also an ''acceptable'' race in the eyes of the nazis ?

I find recent western philosophy to be so abstract and academic, that it usually does not have alot of directly applicable principles. For example Immanuel Kant, Soren Kierkegaard, and more recenly John Rawls, I don't find people finding these works helpfull in everyday life. I'm somewhat disillusioned with more recent western philosophy.

I guess my question is, do others find themselves in the same situation, and if not what works have you read that you find to be very down to earth, that people in everyday life could use.

That ancient image of the philosopher shut in, in his ivory tower, I once hated that image, I still do, yet I'm finding it to be more and more true.

I was wondering if the Bible has been listed as one of the masterpieces of fiction? Does rank up there with "Huckleberry Finn" and "Moby Dick"?

Original virtue?
Quote from: Oscar Wilde
Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience and rebellion that progress has been made."

Anyone disagree? Opinions

The author was 1 of the 1st profilers to work for the F.B.I. It was just after Hoover died. He writes these 2 books as almost a autobiography and I'm sure in his book at the start he has a heart attack. Then obviously talks about all the cases he has worked on. I'm not sure but think the front cover to 1 of the books has like a silver F.B.I shield on it. They where really popular books about 10 years ago. Really great books and would love to get my hands on them but cannot remember the names of them or the author
