Hi, I just took this photo and like the angle and expression, I am gutted that his face is over exposed, I have tried changing the contrast and the saturation, I have also tried to add a warming filter and nothing looks right, anybody got any other ideas aside from the ones I have already tried.

Cheers Blue

If you're using Photoshop, I'd suggest you try using your curves or levels (preferably using adjustment layers, so you can switch them off and on and track what you're doing - they are also available by going to the menu and selecting 'Image' and then 'Adjustments').

Curves/layers both enable you to make lighter spots darker, while leaving dark areas the same, or making them paler to meet in the middle. (The levels would be easier for you to use, as they're a little more instinctive)

If the photo is TOO overexposed, I'm afraid there's only so much you can do - if it's a complete loss, I'd suggest maybe trying to do something arty with it, so it's not a complete waste.

Can't tell if you have blown areas or not. If there is no information in those lightest areas, no amount of adjusting curves or levels in Photoshop will help. To me it looks out of focus, but that could be the small file size. Sometimes you just have to give up on a picture and try again.
