Hey! I'm trying to learn how to use my Pentax-A 50 mm camera and I thought I had it down, but apparantly, I need a refresher...can anybody tell me where I adjust my F-stop and shutter speed? One's on an upper dial, and the other's on a ring. I think the camera I have operates my the camera automatically setting the aperature, and it gives you the idealized shutter speed, but how do I do it? Thanx in advance!!!

On cameras tha have auto reatures you have Shutter Priority and Apeture Priority.

SP manual shutter, auto apeture.
AP manual apeture, auto shutter.

The fstop is adjusted on the lens barrel.

The shutter is adjusted by the know atop the camera. On electic cameras you usually select shutter and the push the button, it will disply number like 40, 64, 100, 200, 400, 800, those are the shutter speeds.

Pentax has a pretty good support page for their manuals. Go to the first link below and provide the details of your camera.

Alternatively, you could try Mike Butkus' site at the second link. The image quality appears much better on this site, but he may not have your specific camera.
