Amazon.com usually offers sample pages of the books it offers. Just click on the image of the book or one of the links below it.

It's actually quite an easy book to read and understand because it was written with the general public in mind. There are lots of pictures and it gained many positive reviews. It's also quite affordable in paperback.

Go to amazon at the link below. Read the reviews and the comments by people who've read the book. You'll see one by a high school student.

There are parts that will make your head spin, but in a good way. It opens your eyes to areas of science that most of us do not get exposed to. This is not a book for those who are literalists in their religious beliefs. Give it a try.

Go to google.com and search under book excerpts for a sample of the text (or check it out at your local bookstore).

Yes to both...Hawking is a great and clear writer, bringing the stars (and Time) down to all of us. He's really good.

For summary see if they have it at http://litsum.com/_______/
(fill in blank with 'brief' name of book ;-})
Or http://www.pagebypagebook.com/
