Think about it. There have been thousands of generations before us slaving away to make the next generation better than the one before. It seems that with all that expended effort, everyone by now should have a house and enough food to last a lifetime, even considering the boom in population.

We work because we don't make things to last and destroy what was built in the past.

Work should really be like play, an option you elect to better yourself and others. What do you think?

Are there principles or axioms from which we can reason out whether something is ethical or not? What are these axioms?

I would guess that some of them might be something like, "Humans are innately valuable," and "Freedom is an inalienable right." How does this apply to animal cruelty? Statutory rape? Human experimentation?

I eagerly await your responses.

Cause of Lost Love

You are the cause of my pain,
You use 2 walk with me in the rain

My days with u are numbered,
Our love has been murdered

We use to laugh and go for long walks,
Now we barely even talk

The key to great relationships is communication
Now all we have is irritation

A dove is a peaceful bird to bring happiness,
The cost we shall pay 4 ruining our Love is not because of the White Dove

BUT BECAUSE OF

LOST LOVE

What is it and what does it mean to you. Use it in three instances, that shade it differently. (Anyone using online dictionaries, cutting and pasting lengthy parcels of others' work will be disqualified and reported for spam.)

what do you play? - We cannot all be the lead, so as host (S), shall I choose first? I pick percussion - twirling my tamborine and beating the living rythym from my red lacquered latin congas and bongos... I will sing in syncopation and counterpoint, echoing and embroidering on the melody.

If Satan could take any form and is more intelligent than any human, how would any mortal know that Satan did not himself write the various books of the Bible as a tool to control human behavior and promote violence against the peoples of other religions? How would we know if Satan was among us right now and professing to be a Christian?

i am a young poet who is restless. i want to get discovered, but how? i've tried poetry competitions, but they usually just turn out to be a scam. not to be narsissistic, but i am too advanced for the options provided for my age group. (i'm thirteen.) the majority of other teenagers don't understand my work, and what adult would like to read the work of someone so young? i assure you, i am entirely on my own when i write. i don't have people help me at all, but i'm not sure that anyone would believe that...?

if you know of any publishing companies or online things that would work for my condition, could you notify me???

thank you!!!

I just wrote in my diary, and I read something that I wrote and it just makes perfect sense. Do you think I'm on to something here? (this is directly from the diary)
"I think our conceit and our values come in pairs. My values include not judging by appearences, so I pride myself on not judging. I value intelligence in others, so I must think myself slightly witty. Oh, it's so ironic. What makes us admirable makes us full of ourselves, our attributes can be our own selfish downfalls if we over-appreciate them, and the meager and modest trait that gives you the small bit of confidence that you need can also push you over the edge of pompousness in another sitaution. It actually all makes perfect sense, doesn't it?"

I think it's quite a unique way of thinking. Would you agree?

I'm Team Edward all the way, for sure. Jacob is too annoying and possesive. Atleast all Edward wanted was for Bella to be happy. Even if she didn't end up being with him, Edward loved her so much that all he would want for her was to have her happy.
I think Edward is the best choice and they are EXTREMLEY cute when they're together. With Jacob it's too boring.

Plus, who would choose Edward :P He's, Edward.

What Couldve Been.....

{for my first child I lost..........}

It seemed impossible but, true
Not a thing in the world I could do
Something went wrong, and then you were gone
Oh still, today I miss you
You’re name, I wasn’t sure If you’d be a boy or a girl
Jessica was nice as was the name Mike
I was uncertain till I got the word
You could’ve been my wonder
You could’ve been my prayer
All the time I thing about you
But, you’re still not here
I found out, my little boy
You’ve made my whole world such a joy
I picked out your clothes
The ones you’d wear home
With a blanket and some of your toys
You would be five this year
And have a sister to protect from all fear
To play with, to run with, to grow and have fun with
And from your mother, the best love and care
You could’ve been my wonder
You could’ve been my son
I think of reasons why you left me
You know I can’t think of one

(I say YES BUT, cowards can change too...right?)

When were you ever a coward?

With a needle in one hand
My stand
No doubt
A coward

With the needle in
Truely I show
Who I am
A coward

A painless trip
No baggage
Fully raw
A coward

Thoughts of termoil
Too much to think of
Even the littlest
The most minor things

(should I shave first?)
(do dishes?)
(make sure the kids made it too school?)
(shower? got to town? make lunch?)

The list is never ending
A sharp stick
Coward

Like pulling the plunger
to a busy day
A stiff drink would'nt do
(but, many help)

I hate long trips
(just a few for the nerves)
or for a coward

(Yawn) It's not bad
this trip
When the beat of your heart
makes you tired
Relax now coward

Just sleep

Under Swelters Swamp

What layed down beneath O'l Swalter some say
Was an old Swamp Hag some think lingers today
Old folk tales of horror and spellcasting past
Was she burnt, did she drown in her hades at last?

My Grand Ma-ma spoke of the times way back when
The old Swamp Hag of Swalter was her only friend
As the town of Swalter was stricken by fever
She left to get Swamp Hag but, the town folk said leave her

Grand Ma-ma made plans to sneak out of sight
Through thunderous storms on the darkest of nights
Grand Ma caught the fever though knowing not then
O'l Swamp Hag brewed up powerful medicine

Grand Ma rushed back to the people in care
But when she arrived, all were lined up and stared
'Punishment by drowning!' the towns people declared
She was whisked to the fountain and drowned in town square
