Isn't that just right!

I think because the people writing the books haven't been in the real world!

Because in the U.S kids are taught to pass tests, not to understand and apply knowledge. When does a tough challenge in the real world ever come to one on a planned basis? In the real world you must be ready to apply your knowledge every where. No Child Left Behind does not really work with this.

School is not just a prerequisite to a job. It is also a place to make friends. What we learn in school should enrich our lives as well as career training.
