If Satan could take any form and is more intelligent than any human, how would any mortal know that Satan did not himself write the various books of the Bible as a tool to control human behavior and promote violence against the peoples of other religions? How would we know if Satan was among us right now and professing to be a Christian?

My point is that Christians believe that anyone or anything can be influenced by the dark forces of Satan. I am just saying if that is really the case, both Christains and Christianity itself may also have been under this influence.

Sorry, but you can't have it both ways.

I wonder that in a way but if satan started not just that relgion but others as well to divide people into groups so we could never truly get along. Becuase in the first place Christains didn't right the bible save the New Testment. And even then they were Jews that were telling there stories over again. It seems possible but not completly likely because there are some good points not just to bible but to other religions as well.

What if Satan is not really a separate entity, but simply an extension of God? God's 'mind,' for lack of a better word, is said to be too enormous and his true nature too complex for the human mind to even begin to comprehend..so what if even God can't comprehend God? Perhaps the entity Christians know as God is split into myriad smaller entities that are essentially one being, yet operate independently of one another, yet interdependently at the same time. Think of this like a sort of "collective unconscious:" though these minds operate independently of one another, they are connected by the overall nature of the being as a whole, so even though they have their own individual nature, they also have a greater, collective, nature that is all of them at once.

Satan could potentially be a manifestation of God's cruel nature. If it was truly this aspect of God that wrote the bible, than the evil and deceitful characteristics of the Satan-mind would be present, but since this mind also contains the collective mind of all aspects, he would inadvertently include positive points in his writings. Perhaps this is why the Bible is so contradictory to itself, promoting at once both tolerance and prejudice.

But in the end, we wouldn't really have a way of knowing if the Bible is Satan’s or God’s work.

Heres how we will know. he will premote the financial backing to take care of all the 3rd world nations and homeless so they are no longer starving and end the wars and violence by somehow premoting world peace. After a while he will get everyone to follow him and then eventually try to make people take a mark and worship him. Thats what we do now want to do....thats what the antichrist in human disguise will do in the future. If were still alive we will want to stay as far away from that guy as possible. jesus will come down and start to fight the antichrist. Jesus will be riding a hors(supposedly white) and we are supposed to follow him into a desert at some point. Satan is deceitful and sly....if you think about it it all makes perfect sense he will appear to us this way claiming he is god or jesus. So if you are still around when this happens just remember that.

I absolutly love you for asking this question! I was debating something somewhat like this with someone! Except I was saying what if someone wrote the Bible as a way to see how many people would follow it as truth. Or to see how many would actually question it in order to discover that there is no truth behind it.
What if the person that wrote it actually intended it to just be a novel. That its the really just the first urban legend ever published?!?!
wouldnt that be awesome

But your question is much more sepcific and much better than my ramblings. Cause when you think about it what has caused more hatred, war and murder and Death than the Bible! isnt that Satan' s creed basicly!!!

He is.- In the original New testament (before king Constantine changed the Bible in 234 AD. Jesus said "I have set you as the light of the world, and a a city that cannot be hid. But the time comes when a darkness shall cover the Earth and gross darkness the people, and the enemies of Truth and righteousness shall rule in my name and set up a kingdom of this world, and oppress the people and cause the enemy to blaspheme putting for my doctrines the opinions of a man and of men, and teaching in my name that which I have not taught, and darkening much that I have taught by their traditions. "But be of good cheer, for the time will also come when The Truth they have hidden shall be manifest, and the Light shall shine, and the darkness shall pass away and the true Kingdom shall be established which shall be in the world, but not of it..."95:3,4
This is taken from the original teachings of Jesus- The Gospel of the nazirenes. for info google gospelofthenazirenes.com Fortunately this knowledge is now coming to light. Most Christian traditions have been covering the Pure word of Christ and it is time for the Truth to come fourth. This site show historical documentation of its authenticity. Following the original teachings of Jesus will set you free. I am so happy I found the truth.

Me thinks that any True Christian (or God fearing person) would recognize Satan, but then, maybe not. Satan is a tricky one. And most of us are not so wise!

Thus, God (Jesus) only asks that we have faith! Nothing more, nothing less! He, will take care of the rest, we only need to believe and have faith. He will lead us in the correct direction.

Satan, IMHO, is the great deceiver and will act in any way possible to confuse and misdirect any of us. He could be doing so right here and right now. Yes, even with my answer!

You need to accept and trust in The Lord and not in what is written in 'Answers'. Any of us can be (and are usually) wrong.

Seek guidance from one who is qualified in this subject. You will find few of them here!

Evil can not be divided against its self and stand, but that is not to say evil can not be divided against its self. Peoples of all religions have been violent, but not all peoples of all religions have been violent.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

Additional: All peoples in their human reproduction perpetuate self alienation or self estrangement and that is self falsification in an innocent condition, a social process lacking the quality for conscious intent and objective reasoning. It is no wonder people see others in possession for alien forces, their being potential good and evil.

I would know because the Easter bunny AND Santa clause would tell me
.....I would be OK anyway cause if I got caught doing anything bad - I would just say "the penguin made me do it"... and all would be forgiven (if even only within my own mind - sly lil grin happening)

You do indeed have a great imagination!!!! Thinking outside the lines and playing on the edge is more than most would dare - bravo

Satan's actions.
He is a thief, liar, and murderer.
There is no good in Satan.... None.

If not convinced, try "His" church.
See if any good comes of the experiment

You take a lot for granted.
I don't agree with what you suppose so I won't and can't answer your question.
I don't like questions which suppose so much and are closed.
