I cant believe
I found someone as amazeing as you
You brightin up my day and make all my troubles go away
You show me everyday how much i mean to you

I've had many people tell me I have a great voice for singing(I would usually think I'm alone), and I LOVE acting in school activities. My Parent want me to have a jod where I use my brain (have a 4.0 and get grounded if I get a B), not my looks,etc. But I've ALWAYS wanted to do this. I want to live my dream, not my parent's dream for me.Anyways, I saved up money so I can buy tickets to travel to places to audition. I'm 13 and need help. God Bless,

What are art schools looking for in an art portfolio? Is it primarily major projects, or is it more sketches, incomplete art pieces? I'd say I have maybe 2 major projects that I really like, and probably 10 or so good sketches/ figural drawings. What's a decent amount? I need this for fall. Any tips on how to create a successful portfolio?

How does this thought expiriment comment on the nature of free will?

What is the point of researching or holding onto the information if you aren't about to help pass it on to the next generation? I have heard of this, and have a great uncle who supposedly knew a lot but was never willing to share hardly anything with anyone.

how is it possible you can get a phd in architecture if you didn't study it. suppose you studied languages. furthermore, will you ever get a job as an architect if you only have a phd in this field. thanx a lot (i know that quality counts in USA, i'm talking about europe though)

I'm still planning to edit, and the punctuation is probably off. I just wrote this a few minutes ago:

~Pondering Apology~

Maybe I was the silly fool:
To try to make you stay my friend;
Perhaps the best has been fulfilled,
Though you don't care to make amends.

Maybe I was always the one
Condescending, proud and vain;
Oh! knowing I'm sorry or knowing I'm right
Doesn't always ease the pain.

Thinking back on what has happened,
Thinking of all the things I've revealed;
Interrupting your slight remarks,
Or unconciously ignoring your tiny appeals.

Well, here is my apology, dear friend,
For everything I've ever done wrong:
I hope you never know this hurt,
And never have to sing this song.

Though it's not 100%, this is based off something real. I was really upset last night. Poetry sure helps relieve feelings, doesn't it?

i wrote it for homework when we were asked to write a poem about snow. At the time i thought it was great but reading it a few years on, i think i was i bit up myself at 11.

Droplets of elegance, twirling, swirling
Dancing with the wind
Settle softly, gently forming
A white carpet on the ground
It brings with it a serene silence
As if it sends the world to sleep
And it morphs the world’s common possessions
Into beauties, atypical
Cold as heartache but pleasure filled
Like a pair of deceitful eyes
That drag you into a crisp white bliss
Then cruelly penetrate your joy
Just like those eyes of treachery
The white crystals of fun
Hold an element of danger
Danger destructive and murderous
Flurries of fun become blizzards of fury
Devouring buildings and mankind alike
Suffocating cities, towns and country
And no more delight is seen
Droplets of elegance, twirling, swirling
Dancing with the wind
Settle over the body of one gone
And the terror of millions.

Where would be a good start to tracing Scottish roots (me being Scottish myself and living there) pre-1800, as my last traceable ancestor has a birth at 1802. His father is listed, but without any dates of birth.

I'm assuming it's church records but I honestly don't have the first clue as to where to start. I have the majority of the people's birth places, so it's a start.

When the air stirs with a stench.

but only how you are.

this is a peom I wrote & I won several awards for it, hope you like it, I am not making an antiwar statement just a statement.
For us to win,
and them to lose,
is often times,
hard to choose,
if it was worth,
the lives it cost,
to suffer through,
the human loss,
to go to war,
and not come home,
when kids grow up,
all alone,
to lose a mother,
or a father,
kills the souls,
of son and daughter,
