Should be no problem. Target finishing it in 10 days. That's only 30 pages a day. If it's a normal fiction book it should take you less than a minute or 2 to read a page.

When you wake up, sit on the crapper for 30 minutes and try to read 30 pages, or just get up and sit at your desk until you have read 30 pages. Have a notebook next to you, and write little summaries of the chapters you read. That way you will have a summary of the book that you can review. Doesn't have to be a well-written summary - just jot notes -- "In this chapter Bill and Joe go to the river and find a box..... then they... and then they...." - just the high points.

Don't look at the book as 300 pages -- just look at 30 pages... which is really only 15 sheets of paper front and back -- if you can't read 15 sheets of paper in a day, then you aren't trying. Carry the book with you if you have to and read it on breaks, or anytime you can shove down a page or two. On Saturday - get ahead of the game and get up early and read 60 pages, and the same on Sunday and you'll be done way ahead of time.

Step 1: Stay off the net until after the book is finished.

Step 2: Don't watch TV, play games or talk on the phone with your friends until you get through the book.

Step 3: Set aside some time everyday to read x number of pages.

300 pages is nothing girl lol. Try 500, or even 1000 (Gone With The Wind). 2 weeks is a lot of time. I can finish 300 pages in 5 hours. Set aside about 30 minutes a day (get up earlier or stay up later) maybe an hour on one day, 15 minutes on another...you can get it finished in 2 weeks.

I frequently squeeze reading in among my other tasks. Or at the same time as things that can be done without both hands or total attention. Read while you use the bathroom, while you are eating. I used to work with a woman who read while she went for a walk each morning. Carry the book with you everywhere and "grab" a few pages whenever you have a chance.
DON'T read while driving, though. (Public transportation is great for catching up on your reading, though.)
Try not to think of it as 300 pages; as everyone else is saying, it's not that much per day, if you just do it.

Book on tape
Skip pages (you'll miss some details, but get the jist)
Cliff notes if they have them for this book
Read the last chapter, then start from the beginning, even if you don't finish you'll have a good unerstanding, and if you finish early, reread the final chapter
Eat fish while reading
set aside 3 days, Read for thirty minutes, take a break for thirty minutes, read for an hour, take a break for thirty minutes (repeat), you should have the book knocked out in no time.

If you've even started, go to the library and find a comfortable spot. Since it's the summer, I find that reading at home does not work for me because the electronic department is too tempting such as the TV, computer, phone...etc. I was in your dilemma, and two hours at the library and I was finished. Just make time to go to your public library this week.
Good Luck!

If you can force yourself to read 27 pages a day it will be finished in 2 weeks. I sympathize, truly. Even though I love to read, the stuff we're assaigned in class isn't always the most interesting stuff in the world.

2 weeks is plenty of time is ur determined to finish it. Sqeez in atleast 30 min of reading before you go to sleep. And if you find urself struggling, skim pages where the the story is REALLY boring and know that much won't happen. Don't I recomend you don't do that too much. Good luck!

Only 300 pages? Pfft, that's noting, I can read 1000 pages in a week. Just read non stop til you're done.
