The next big event in human history-- the extinction of mankind through the operation of unbridled, many-directioned folly-- will probably go unnoted and unmourned. Whether global warming-- earth heating up like a microwave-- famine or plagues, will we become long-term victims of our own short-sightedness? Even if we leave as our lasting heritage sentient robots and computers able to remain intact in an oven-like atmosphere, it seems doubtful that these machines will take the time to sit down at the keyboard and write an obituary to late, great mankind's demise.

Such as: " 'Homo sapiens' means 'wise man'...The logic of that, no robot can understand!...No matter how long he stayed in college...His ignorance always exceeded his knowledge!... To short-term thinking men were bred.. So, in the long run, they're all dead!"

Maybe robots will build a museum on the Moon for Man, carve an obit on the front, and go home to the Earth they inherit by our demise. Comments?

I loved Billy Pilgrim. So wide eyed. So experiential. No fear, even as he approached his defining moment.

Time freezing powers: You can freeze time (not go forward or backward in time). This will stop all activitity, but you will be able to move within your enviroment.

Would you age at a faster rate, slower rate, or no change if you kept time frozen while you mastered being a concert violinist?

met another boat. They party. They do business. He always takes his wife along. One time she sees something she isn't supposed to. They move to the East Coast. One day he encounters the same boat. He starts locking his wife in the house and keeping her drugged. What happened? What did she see? Who were the people on the other boat? Why did he keep his wife locked up? If he wanted her out of the way why didn't he just kill her?
