It was signed in 1215, although one should be careful with the term "signed" because it never was signed by anyone. Rather, it was sealed, it had ribbons attached to the very bottom of the document and then wax seals with seals from King John (this is the same King, who used to be Prince John of infamous fame in the legend of Robin Hood) and the nobles present.

There are four original copies that still exist. Two are in British Museum, one is in the chapter house of Salisbury Cathedral and the final one, the least legible one (it's almost totally black) but the one with all of the seals still afixed, is in Lincoln Castle, across from Lincoln Cathedral.

One final footnote: It was signed on the hillside of Runnymeade, not very far from Windsor Castle. There is a momument there to the signing and near by there's also a monument to Pres. John F. Kennedy.

On June 15, 1215, the rebellious barons met John at Runnymede on the Thames. The king was presented with a document known as the Articles of the Barons, on the basis of which Magna Carta was drawn up. For a document hallowed in history during more than 750 years and frequently cited as a forerunner of the Declaration of Independence and the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, Magna Carta is a singularly undramatic document. It is thorny with problems of feudal law and custom that are largely untranslatable into modern idiom.

"By 1215, some of the barons of England banded together and took London by force on June 10, 1215. They and many of the fence-sitting moderates not in overt rebellion forced King John to agree to the "Articles of the Barons", to which his Great Seal was attached in the meadow at Runnymede on June 15, 1215. In return, the barons renewed their oaths of fealty to King John on June 19, 1215. A formal document to record the agreement was created by the royal chancery on July 15 : this was the original Magna Carta."

July 15, 1215 seems to be the date.

Which one?
Great Seal was attached in the meadow at Runnymede on June 15, 1215. In return, the barons renewed their oaths of fealty to King John on June 19, 1215. A formal document to record the agreement was created by the royal chancery on July 15: this was the original Magna Carta. An unknown number of copies of it were sent out to officials, such as royal sheriffs and bishops...

By the way I saw one of the copies that was on tour...I believe it was toured by the archbishop of canterbury...There is one of the surviving copies.
