The name Clare reminds me of the store in a mall around me. "Clair's" A very preppy store- I am no prep.
It also reminds me of my ex-best friend, her middle name was Clare and now that she changed completely- we are not friends, and I dislike the name.

I find it would be a nice name for someone from France (or a French speaking country)....

otherwise, it sounds to me like a toothpaste brand...
