I loved Billy Pilgrim. So wide eyed. So experiential. No fear, even as he approached his defining moment.

I identify with Howard W. Campbell Jr. from Mother Night. In order to do the right thing he did terrible things, and for him he felt he deserved his guilt, because the ends were no excuse for the means. He is introspective, he takes responsibility for himself, he knows what it is to be really alone... yet he keeps a grim sense of humor about himself. I feel I can identify with that.

I also loved Billy Pilgrim, he said a lot about war as a character.

Billy Pilgrim. By the way, great question in light of the death of the wonderful writer, Vonnegut.

Kilgore Trout was awesome. I love all the weird ideas that continually filled his head. Some of the plots for the books he "wrote" were just as interesting as anything Vonnegut actually wrote.

I've got to pick one? I refrain from choosing.
