okay our assignment for english was to read "country of the kind" by Damon Knight. Its a sci-fi short story and i never read those kinds of books so i cant really relate to what this story is about. If you have read this or know where i can find a good overview besides wikipedia, that would really help! =] also i need the theme of this story, which i have no clueee

I finished the book I am the messenger. I'm just kinda confused on the guy who sent him the cards... Who is he and why did he send them. I just got really confused in the end. Other than that it is an AMAZING book. It makes you re-think your life and everyday actions.

In many paintngs, on the side of the paintings, are the painter's name, date, and a lot of iinformation. I noticed that a lot og these have the phrase "oil on canvas"
What does that mean exactly? Did the artist use oil pastels?

Basically, my question speaks for itself. I really want to be in a theatre performing. I mean, I love the thrill of the dancers etc, and I sing when I'm by myself, but I'm too shy to audition.

Hi, I'm a self-publishing writer; not very profitable, I know, but I love it! Just out of curiosity, if you enjoy writing, either as a career or a hobby, how prolific are you?
I completed a 61 chapter (844 page) novel in about a year and a half. I consider 400-600 words to be a satisfactory day's work, and it usually takes me three weeks to a month to finish a chapter, depending on how long it is. Is this faster or slower than average?

im 16 years old and we are having drill team tryouts for school. i've been one the team for two years now and now im trying out for an officer postion. well i need a song so bad. i want a song that is motivational something that says I CAN DO THIS EVEN WHEN NO ONE ELSE CAN. something that tells the judges that i will be a great officer. but i have no idea what song. i want something upbeat. if you know any song that might help me please tell me it. tryouts are in a month and a half. and this is my dream... all i need is a song that says it.
