I am 21 year old egyptian guy,studying medcine,and i want to be a surgeon and i am talented too in drawing( very talented ).But what i amasking can this being an artist help in my work as a surgeon ..i mean in my hand work..or doesn't even matter..will this make differrence???

I should think that it would be a bonus that you have developed very good eye-hand coordination skills--one of a surgeon's best assets. But you also will be able to judge when something is straight, even, and in proportion (such as when suturing up a wound so the resultant scar is, at least, STRAIGHT!)

That's a choice only you can make, friend. An artist's life is tough. Especially if you do realism. Your drawing skill will probably give you a better handle on when you look at computer generated images of internal organs. A doctor is a worthy vocation to anyone who practices honorably with integrity. Hey! You're from Egypt! There's probably more medical science forgotten in those parts than anybody'll ever know!

Although I'm just a layman, I would think hand/eye coordination would be a very useful trait from one to the other. Also the patience factor would be important. As an artist myself I know that patience is a virtue. And I'll bet there are many other cross-over traits that are equally impotrant.

If you're a plastic surgeon, it will certainly help. You'll be able to visualize the end-product of your work better.

That's a good question, I would think yes especially if your doing things, like stitches, brain surgery, bypasses, etc.

if u wanna be a doctor u'll be a doctor
no one will give u the answe u want until u experience by yourself
