What's your favourite and why?

I am writing a book in another world similar (but different) than the one in Eragon, and about young man who discovers he has something special and goes on a dangerous quest with a powerful, old man to discover his powers. There are many things that make this book different than eragon (in a big way) but it has Elves and Dwarves and Men (even though the Dwarves aren't short, they are really big.) I was wondering if people find this too close to Eragon, or would welcome another fantasy bok full of action.

Looking for just a really great read. I like any and all kinds of books, but most importantly I'm searching for a read that moves me and leaves me wanting more when its over. Some books to name a few that have had this affect are "To Kill a Mockingbird", Not Without my Daughter", "East of Eden", and "Little Women", again I love all kinds of books. THanks. (Please with your suggestion give reasons) thx again!

in my opinion nothing can be meaningless. its just not. alot of nihilists see life as meaningless, however that cant deny the fact that they are experiencing life. and the fact that your experiencing something means that the thing that is being experienced serves a purpose. and that purpose is to be experienced, which would mean that if something serves a purpose it cannot be meaningless. there are many things that people see as meaningless. such as, war, violence, racism, love, jealousy, and hate. however while the person thinks these things are meaningless, they are not. it serves a purpose in one way or another whether its there for you disagree upon or to make reference and base ideas for or against it. I think that the biggest flaw in nihilism is that the point of it is to prove the pointlessness in things such as life. However the fact that they are stating pointlessness is still nonetheless stating. And in order to state something you have to make a point. It’s a point in pointlessness. It’s a self defeating and a self contradictory way of looking at things.

for example, people say that you cant actualy 100% prove the existence of others because it may just be one big dream. however our senses do not fool us. in dreams we cannot feel any of our senses acept for images. we know this because when you want to know if your dreaming then you pinch yourself, and if you feel pain then you arent dreaming. i do however beleive that we can never truly know a color of something because of the photons and the way the human perceives color. a humans blue may be another animals green. but other than that we can know that there are objects existing independently from us because that where our senses come from. we cant have a dream in which we have senses unless you have had prioe reference and experience to them.

With the tears of fear, rolling down your tear striken face, you think of the tears you have shead over the years and the fears you've shaken off, turns to pain the rain in your brain turns toshame, while the world is in pain you lay there in vain. Your all alone, In your home even though your surrounded by the ones you know, how you feel on your own or in your home!

I am most interested in the Georgian and Regency periods. Could then a son be disinherited by his father, although the child had been born legitimately, with his parents married? (Possible reasons I think of, why the father would want to renounce the child, could be he suspects the child isn't his, or that the child is born incapacitated). Would under these circumstances the child still inherit the title and the estates after his father's death?

The period I'm interested in is the beginning of the 19th century. I know that titles and entailed property were usually passed on, after the peer's death, to his eldest legitimate son (if he had one), but what if the father would have become very angry with his son? Is there any valid reason at all that the peer could have used to disinherit his son or, in any case, prevent him from inheriting the title?

I need a book that I am interested in to read for school. I really don't like to read older literature (I know, shame on me). But I need one that my school will count it of "literary quality."

Thanks!

Are we focussing on how it will affect ourselves when we don't want others to have the right to commit suicide or euthanasia? Are we totally ignoring their rights?
