you don't have to look to far for that, there are lots of examples of people who have committed suicide aver winning a huge lottery. The best story I ever heard though was of a humble clerk in Japan who won a huge lottery coming to the realization that he would have lots of money but he would no longer have any Friends as his co-workers were already alienating him. In He stood up on his desk and when he had every ones attention, he ripped his winning ticket into tiny bits...the man is a real winner in my books!

The US taught the Muslim extremists how to shoot down Helicopters in Afghanistan because they US wanted to defeat the soviet union.
It was a wildly successful strategy. The soviets went home with their tails between there legs.
Now it is raining helicopters in Afghanistan and Iraq. The same people the US taught how to shoot down helicopters are showing other Muslim extremists how this is done.
The US war machine relies heavily on helicopters, but it is quickly becoming to dangerous to use them. Soon the US military will be leaving Iraq just like the soviets left Afghanistan, with their tails between their legs.
They wanted to win so badly in Afghanistan that they gave a way the secret to their own demise.
Love and blessings Don

Philosophically speaking, every win entails some kind of loss or cost....... and with the final win, you lose motivation. The victors make more enemies than the losers. Nothing in this world is one-sided, everything is balanced and rounded.

How about divorce courts? A man and woman go in their both wanting to win. After vicious lies and half/truths they come out of the building and each walks a separate way...............
Who won? Who lost? They both lost and maybe the courts won.

Pyrrhus of Epiris. He may have won battles against the Romans but they came at a tremendous cost. This is where we get the word pyrrhic victory.
