I'm an American. I'm not a "colonial subject". That issued was settled in the 1700's.

That question isnt possible to answer here.. there were too many different American colonies.. a short answer would take the space of a small book.. Dutch French German English Spanish ... that alone would take more text space than i would possibly be alowed here for the basics.. and thes not even all of them..

Sorry you are gonna have to read at least 10 books to cover even the easy stuff on that question...
