I believe that everything happens for a reason, sometimes for better sometimes for worse but each time we meant to learn something from it. What do you think?

Sometimes I think the whole world has gone crazy, but then again maybe it's just me. Everyone wishes for the perfect life. Some people got it, I wasn't one of those people. I was sitting on a plane as it soared over the glistening water of the vast Atlantic. London, England was where I was headed. To live with my dad whom I had visited every summer since I was four years old. I'd been to London every summer for thirteen years, . I love London, I truly do, but it just wasn't MY place. I didn't feel like I would ever get my perfect life, or my happily ever after there. The busy streets, the brain-racketting noises, they're great. Except you get used to them, maybe even to used too them. I really didn't know what to expect in London though I had been there for a month, every year, for thirteen years. Even though it seemed like I had it all worked out in my mind, London was so different from Phoenix.

"People are mistaken when they assume that the problems they confront are more complex and challenging than the problems faced by their predecessors. This illusion is eventually dispelled with increased knowledge and experience."

I believe in a world without Geographical Boundaries and where each and every human is treated the same. Though money and equality have changed places and there is so much of chaos, I believe that we have the power to put LOVE back in its place and bring peace and harmony back to our Mother Earth!!

About the Taliban's restrictions upon Afghanistan women in the 1990s and very early 2000s: there's one law that boggles my mind:

The Taliban forbade women to practice medicine, yet they also forbade women to see a male doctor. Therefore, women didn't get to see doctors at all.

This is dumbfoundingly illogical, even for religious zealots. Did they have no foresight? Did the men want their women to get sick and die? Were nonmedical female healers available to attend the women's ills? Did women know some folk medicine for each other outside of modern medicine?

If no folk female healers were available, did Taliban men want their aging wives to die so they could marry younger women, or their aging mothers to die so the men could spend more money on themselves? Was there an excess female population they wanted to kill off? Was it considered noble and holy for women to die rather than defile themselves with male (or female) doctors?

Please, what's the answer?

I've read a lot of Anglo-Saxon alliterative verse and even some in modern English and on the surface it looks like it would be really easy to write. It's two four beat half lines and one word in the first half line has to start with the same sound as a word in the other half line. How simple is that?
But when I actually try to write it myself I can never make it work out and I don't even have one line that's actually alliterative verse.

a farmer came from the market vilage where he bought some rice for his farm, a chicken, and a wolf. then some thieves saw him and chased after him. the farmer ran until he reached the river and the thieves are not in sight. there's only one small boat, the problem is he can only bring with him one of his belongings at a time and go back for the others. simple? if he leaves the chicken and the rice on one side, the chicken will eat the rice, if he leaves the chicken and the wolf on one side, the wolf will eat the chicken.

how did the farmer saved his belongings without any being eaten?
