When asking deep philosophical questions, it might be a good idea to ponder basic third grade grammar and spelling, ... just a thought.

No, I disagree.

It's not always so simple to say that freedom and happiness is about doing what you want. A big part of civilization is about creating groups and communities that all agree to what's right and wrong. One of the great things about our country is that we're not suppose to make too many rules about what is right or wrong (though I think we're loosing this quality)- but how we keep the community is through voluntary religions. We create groups, rules (sometimes very strict)- so that we create stronger communities- yet we make them voluntary. Religion is one of those excellent systems that keeps democracy alive by letting the people create voluntary rules so the government doesn't have rule every part of our lives. Much of the legal things I don't do, I don't do because they seem morally wrong to me and everyone around me, that's why the government doesn't have to make too many rules about how I live my life.

You're right about religion (at least what I was able to ascertain from the poor spelling). That's why Christianity is different. It's not a religion... no rigid sets of rules or lack of freedom to question or proof-lessness etc... Christianity is a relationship with the one, true, living God and His son, Jesus Christ. I'm so glad that as a Christian I have the freedom to question, to ask "why" or disagree, to develop and progress, and pursue a life of love, joy, and peace. You should check it out!

I suppose what you're trying to say is that religion is worthless...?

I don't agree with you at all. In fact, many people think that religion was made up just to keep people in line way back when.

It worked didn't it?

If nothing else, it's doing the same today. Without religion, frankly, we'd have a lot more lunatics running around killing people or other crimes.

Religion is a key ingredient to living a full life. In my opinion.

1. It doesn't think for you... Religion has guidelines for you
It is up to you whether you would care to follow them.
2. I question all the time...where did you learn this crappola?
3.Miracles have been proven and we are welcome to agree to disagree.
4.Each Book does progress until Revelation...the end!
5.It disperses helpful guidelines...man's free will to do as he pleases.
6.Have you ever read the Bible...have you never felt a miracle?

You should stay off the sauce or drugs before attempting to ask deep philosophical questions. Get your facts straight before you accuse.

Man makes wars....God gave man the tools for development and what did MAN DO? he used the tools to produce tools of destruction.

I have to freedom to do what I want...I just choose to try and follow the guidelines.

Those are true of ORGANIZED religion.........and you forgot "they only want your money".
True religion comes from the faith in your heart, and is also open for true discussion. It evolves as civilization progresses, allowing for obscure ideas and practices to pass (like animal sacrifice, "clean vs unclean" and polygamy.
True religion happens when you have true belief, unquestioned love and complete faith...which is NEVER seen in a church!

The reason religion is still so popular is because some people will always need that extra help. People want to think there is more to their lives then getting up driving to work working a crappy job coming home to a ungratful family and pay bills. I am not one of these people I believe life is life is you die you die no heaven no hell no nothing, good luck on getting others to believe you

It was difficult to decipher your heiroglyphics, but once I was able to, I found that I agree with you. Religion has done more harm than good over the centuries. People would be better off trusting their own hearts and minds.
