I would consider myself a fairly serious amateur photographer and have mainly shot landscapes. My friend saw some photos that I had taken and asked if I could take her wedding pictures. I told her that I was in no way a professional and that I could not guarantee the "perfect" wedding portraits. She said that she knew that and wanted me to take them anyway. Now I am wondering what type of lighting and lenses would best suit wedding photography. I can probably think of some things but I just thought I would ask so that I don't miss anything that would make my pictures better than they would be otherwise. Thank you for your help.

Okay well I'm doing a research report on the War on the Mississippi-Grant's Vicksburg Campaign-and there's this group of sentences that don't click in my head! I don't get it! It's in this book and the sentence says--
"By early June 1862, with the capture of NewOrleans and the neutralization of Fort Pillow, about 50 miles north of Memphis, the Union had a firm grip on the Mississippi at both extremes of the Confederacy. But the center remainded in Confederate hands. And the focal point of Rebel resistance was Vicksburg"

I'm not understanding it exactly. Can you tell me what it means or help me better read and understand.

I have been hearing alot lately that African americans should get an apology for slavery and segregation. My question, who do you want this apology from? The government? Of which many are black? The people? Ok I am sorry, granted I am only 24 and had nothing to do with slavery or the government of the 60's, along with the majority of americans today, So I guess that leaves the very few people who are old enough to have actualy made laws or been in the government of the 60' I think that would put them around 80 something good luck finding them if any are still alive.

I went camping one time in northern Minnesota and took my first picture ever when i was about 14. I was sent out alone for a night with an organization called Outward Bound. When the sun was setting i took a picture of an almost entirely black dark landscape except for a orange/redish sun just barely setting on a horizon of pine trees. An orange hue tapered from the sun to each side of the horizon fading into black night. A beaver was smacking its tail
in a lake that covered the lower 50% of the picture. The reflection of the sun and orange hue horizon mirrored on the water below. I continue to hold onto my first picture ever so that some day i will enlarge it and hang it in my house. It was a beautifull moment in an otherwise excruciating trip.
