Definately front to back not skipping any pages. You have to read it this way to understand the story.

Front to back, usually. Unless it's a short story or essay book, then I skip around.

I read the first chapter to see if I want to continue and the last four pages to see how it ends. The joy of reading for me is how the author gets from here to there.

If I've bought a book, or borrowed one, I feel I'd be cheating myself if I skipped pages(unless I had to do a quick book report)

Read first couple of chapters, then skip to end. I often do not even read further, if the ending is too obvious, or to outrageous.
Now, with non-fiction, I read straight through.

I usually will read front to back, but lately I find myself skimming ahead, either out of boredom or time constraints, not sure which (or maybe it's both.)
But if it's something I'm thoroughly enjoying, I won't check out what happens - I'll read every page, in order.

Start to finish if it's good. If it fails to capture me in the first few chapters, I just read the ending.

Cover to cover, every line.
Prologues, epilogues, even reviews and the author's biography. I'm a bit of a book nerd.
