Possibly the US. We were there to "make the world safe for democracy" whatever that means

Although I am an anglophile, I would have to say Britain because they brought a naive, idealistic USA into the war.

Probably Germany. They had to dupe the entire country into fighting an expansionist war. Also, the people really wanted to believe in it.

One thing for sure.. the USA was never a naive country.. read the USA Trilogy" - read up on "Meester Vilson" - as my great grandma used to call him.. that was a nickname Woodrow Wilson got..
