It doesn't matter whether its about their personal life, or the painting. Google hasn't really been providing much about their personal lives, so that would be prefered!

Hello again, everyone. I have asked your opinions about different items before. Here is what's up. I am 26, just learning art for the first time. I have painted 4 pieces and am starting to learn to draw and sketch with pencil alone. Please give me your feedback on these two sketches. This are the first pencil sketches I have ever done. I have had no formal training...just trying to form a new hobby, but be decent at it. I don't want to just doodle, know what I mean? Please be honest, but avoid super rude remarks. I appreciate all of you for taking your time to answer. ; )

I like to dance hip-hop. When I go to partys and I start dancing, many girls look at me and I think their liking how I dance. When I go talk to them they tell me I look good. I dont know if girls like me cause I dance good or because they like how I look.

I can remember a number of years ago that there was a controversy over putting a sculpture in a police station in Buffalo, New York. I believe the sculpture was done in bronze, and I think it was called The Awakening. It was controversial because to some folks it appeared to be grotesque, somewhat resembling a person that had been skinned or dissected. To others, it looked like an angel. Any information or pictures would be helpful... the only image I have is the one in my head.

small and emptied woman you lie here a thousand years dead
your hands on your diminished loins flat in this final bed
teeth jutting from your unwound head your spiced boned black and dried,
who knew you and kissed you and kept you and wept when you died;
died you young had you grace? Risus sardonicus replied.
Then quick I siezed my husband's hand while he stared at his bride.

The Civil Rights movement included events such as Rosa Parks Montgomery Bus Boycott, Desegregation in Little Rock, and Emmyt Till. How did these impact the writing of Black like Me.. the book where the guy turned his skin color black to see the segregating affects.

I already have a Nazi shaving a Jewish womans head for the main focus. in the background there is a nazi symbol and a star of david, a tattoo'd arm, and a uniform the Jewish were forced to wear. These are all hanging like a mobile from the top of the shoebox. although i have all of these features, the main focus looks too plain. Please give suggestions on what i can do to fix the plain look.

To see more of my poems, go to poetry.com, and type 'Whitney Hales' into the searchbar. I AM NOT Whitney K. Hales. I'm just Whitney Hales.

The curtain parts
And night reveals
The new hope I call dawn.
Such wonderful colors
Gracing the sky
With ethereal glory
Blue for humility,
Pink for charity,
Orange for beauty.
With peaceful prelude...
Now comes the day!

The hall where the records were kept in Sackville burnt to the ground and the records were destroyed in the 1920s. Does anyone have an idea where to find duplicates?

As a child I was told a poem by my mother
Kate, Kate, you'd better not wait
The two little Smith girls have just passed the gate
Hurry up darling, I know you'll be late
Kate, Kate, Kate.

Does anybody know it?
I would like to know the rest of the poem and the author.
Also whether it is in or out of copyright

Yet each man kills the thing he loves,
By each let this be heard,
Some do it with a bitter look,
Some with a flattering word,
The coward does it with a kiss,
The brave man with a sword!

The stanza is from 'The Ballad of Reading Gaol' by Oscar Wilde. The lines seem to be quoted quite frequently, and they have a haunting and impactful nature to them.

However, what do they mean?

I have never taken Oscar Wilde at any point in my schooling. (unfortunately)
