you would be suprised but ebay actually has a good supply of bones, antlers and, horns suitable for carving. they even have mammoth ivory. its a good place to look.

also i knew this guy that went to art school with me that used a lot of bones in his sculptures and he got them from a state park. if you ask around at state parks you can find out were they put all of the road kill that they find. it sounds gross but they keep them all in the same place. it is a bone shopping mall. but you gotta find the oldest ones that are clean and the sun has bleached them. they are the best.

Here is an idea... Buy some bar-be-que ribs and then eat them and then bleach them and then carve them! Very Yummy!

Contact a butcher that works with whole or half cattle or one that processes deer during hunting season.
