My friend & I r planning to make a sci-fi novel & here's the plot.Setting, the year 3000 or so. There r twenty or so planets, each governed by 5 senators, all under the rule of a council w/ 8 members who're the most powerful in the solar system. Now, the members are really bitches and do all sorts of bad things. Then there's this group of 4 people, the quiet handsome one, the leader, the leader's fiancee, and a rich girl (daughter of a senator) who set out to stop this (not sure why, yet) un4tuntely, they had a new member, who happened to be the daughter of 1 of the council (she's a ***** 2) but they don't know it yet. she hanged out with them for a while, and that changed her.But she became their enemy too coz she took the fiancee of the leader and made her an android which she sent to kill them.Sort of like star wars but it's not. it's actually more dramatic, but i dunno how to write it. but the story's close to that, anyway, w/ a complicated love story.

I found this statue in an antique shop. Japanese characters inscribed are Tsu Sun.
I found a photo of a much larger statue on a tourist's post of someone having visited the Inuyama area.
Does anyone know the name of the artist?

Hmmm... let's set up this website to see if people will trust other people. Will they answer other people's question just out of the good of their heart, just to be helpful? How many will do it just out of competition, to see who can acquire the most points?

If Yahoo Answers isn't an experiment on us humans - it should be.

Just my own opinion gained from experience...people in here all talk about the most important things in life being life itself or love or self-worth or money or friends but can you have any of those things without first having respect for them?

I am about to take a graduate course on "Ulysses" and want to know the exact relationship between James Joyce's "Ulysses" and Homer's "Odyessy". Do I really have to read Homer to understand "Ulysses"? Or can it be judged as a work on its own?

Man's greatest invention is language.

Think about these:
Would we be trading without communication?
Would we have a government without interacting to other people?
Would we discover new wonders without helping one another?
Would we... (and many more)...

Although the effects of communication truly had the greatest advantages to ease human life, it also caused the worst scenario in the human world... For example, war...
(Note: Think first before you'd react why war is a negative effect of communication)

Simply saying, it is the greatest, at the same time, the worst...
For man only had the capacity to think about the advantages, and by the time he meets the unexpected results, he finds a way to resolve it, but only rather end up creating a new set of problem...

It’s something I’ve always wanted to do but not something practical…so parents didn’t let me. Went to college…now have 2 degrees (BBA and MBA) working for major corp but not happy. A part of me feels I need to give that dream up…too late to start at my age. I know I would need to take classes and work a lot to develop my skills…but at 31 am I being unrealistic. I know anything is possible but really…can anything good come of it at my age?
