First off, I'm gay, and I hope that no non-gays answer this question i.e.straight people. Just sit back and read on this one, ok? I dated a few girls when I was in my teens, always struggling with not knowing what to do, but I suppose that is common for most, gay or straight in the early days of dating, but I NEVER felt uncomfortable with guys. I always felt an attraction to my male friends. I have even had intercourse with girls. Surely, you can't believe that evryone out there is on the extreme end of the scale, acting very effeminate? (My hobby is fixing cars)There is sort of a scale of gayness/straightness. 5 being absolutely gay, and 1 being absolutely straight. I'm a 4 or so. But that doesn't mean that I'm bisexual either. I don't sleep with women. I did, and liked it, but prefer the company of men, and don't think that for that reason I would be a good "mate" for most women. I believe that I was born with a certain desire to explore. I also explored recreational use of chemicals, and living in a different country, strange food, and different carreers, etc. So I'm an exploratory person by nature. Ok, back to the "question". r gays born like tht ......I would say it is part nature and part nurture. I have asked all my friends who are gay about their family situation when they were growing up.....all of them! And all of them have responded that they had a weak father figure, or possibly the absence of a father figure and a mother that stepped up to bat and was very strong. There's the nurture. We don't see women as sexual beings, but as purely nurturing mother figures I live in Mexico where most here are momma's boys, and the percentage of gays seems to be higher as well. Machismo is merely a response to one's own insecurity! The nature is that they were predisposed to be an exploratory person in some way. who motivates them to be like that................ Not sure what we are talking about here. Effeminate? I'm not, so I can't tell you. Enjoying sex with guys? Why are some guys turned on by womens high heeled shoes? I think that that would be a more intriguing question. Are you saying that men by their very nature are not sexy creatures? Are you not sexy? Is it not possible that not only women, but some men as well might be attracted to you? Think about it.

During the splitting of the egg and sperm and the chromosomes and the Genetic makeup they state that there is a mix in the way the X Y chromosomes split. Some of them don't split up correctly.
The male with too many of one set of Chromosomes will actually feel like a female and vs versa.
It must be terribly difficult being born in a body that you feel alien in. It is not actually the persons fault it just was a mistake in the split up during the process of life.
Being accepting is something that we all need to learn
Homosexuals are people. and change in the world is what its all about. Nothing stays the same.
Hope that helps some

They are born like this it is in the gene pool. It is not something that happens. ie: just because a boy was sexually abused as a young child. There are no rights or wrongs here it is no different then someone being born with a missing chromosone.

It's simple. Were you born straight? What motivates you to be that way? Your issue seems to be that you consider it abnormal. Would you be so concerned over being albino, down syndrome or is gay just the worst thing?

Gays are born, not made. Nobody can control who they are attracted to, whether you prefer blondes or brunettes, short or tall, men or women, none of it's a choice. It's all coded into our DNA or brainwaves or something.

Well, seeing as they're born like that, I would have to say it's their nature that motivates them to be like "that". They are human and have the same human nature as everyone else, they are simply sexually attracted to the same sex rather than the opposite, or sometimes both.

How could it possibly matter? It's just a preference, and therefore isn't any more concern than any other preference. Let's not get too worked up about what other people like in bed.

Depends upon the environment they lived in...
But sometimes, science would explain:
Everyone, man or woman, possess male hormones and female hormones... If ever a man (identified through genitals) acts like a woman (gay that is), he possessed more female hormones than male hormones... That's just it...
