For philosphy and Communication you could talk about the ways that mass media conveys various philosphies through different mediums. Many movies and television shows have a philisphical backbone if you will. Also many writors/creators use thier shows/movies as a platform to put out thier philosophies/political views.
I did some papers on stuff like this though i focused more on the communication aspect than the philosphy aspect but its really up to you what angle youtake.
For example i did a paper on how Nietzsche's Philosphies were portrayed in the Matrix (thier are lots of great books you can get on the Matrix and Philosphy too)
Also i did a paper on how Matt Groening creator of the Simpsosn uses the shows as a platform to put ou this own philosphies.
But you can take any show and analyze it through the framework of a particular philospher. For the Simpsons theres a book called D'Oh the Philosophy of the Simpsons that analyzes the show througha bunch of different frameworks.
The cool thing about a paper like this is that you get to watch shows and movies for homework...and you'll never watch tv the same way again :) its lots of fun.
Good luck

In my opinion, previous answers do not point at the philosophical issues involved but rather at the legal. So the question isn't "is file sharing legal?" Because then the answer is no. Taking ten cents is stealing. Sharing one file is stealing. End of discussion. So the question should be, once I have established that this is copyrighted material I am sharing, would it be wrong to share it? To move out of square one you must admit the next premise: there are some conditions that would allow it. So what do I break down the question into? - Damage for starters. As Khushi mentions, some might say that copyright holders have the right to do with their money whatever they want (something that could be challenged like when affecting the environment), but do I damage that right by downloading one of their songs or two or a whole album? Is it as damaging to download one as it is to download their complete works? How much will force Madonna to take the bus to work? - Usage. What do I want it for? Sharing isn't the same as selling. So if you make a profit from someone else's ideas you are not sharing. Long time ago people shared records and no one complained. True you couldn't share them with someone in Hong Kong and someone in Island at the same time then. But do you know Youtube could block your sister's 15 year old birthday video because you can hear the music in the background? It's happening. Check it out. - The ethics of copyright. Is it always right? At least when a Co like Monsanto goes to the third world, takes bio samples, brings them back, modifies one out of all the genes and copyrights all the plant, I don't see that as ethical. Is it the same with music? Well no, but isn't it weird that Michael Jackson has the rights to the Beatles music? Should I respect the work of the musician or the rights of the owner? - Access. OK so the apple was hanging there and Eve shouldn't have taken it. Why? Because before Adam didn't know the difference between wrong and right and after that he did! Is that bad? Well according to God... Wait a minute, that has nothing to do with file sharing! Sure? Music isn't hanging anywhere, it's in the Internet! So should I be banned from Internet paradise so I don't pick up what is lying there or should the Internet be regulated so that their apples are all locked up? It is not the same as a file in a file cabinet as much as $200 in the floor is not the same as $200 in your wallet. Trying to find out who they belong to would be seen as a highly moral act. But not doing so would not be seen as illegal.

RETAILING, The ethical&moral responsibilties of the conglomorate.
should we allow wallmart to know everthing about us, using the customer base as a credit surveilance, when you shop and pay for it using your credit card not only are they monitoring your bank balance but what you spend your hard earned dollars on, by manipulating thier pricing policy from yours and hundreds of thousands of customers data gathered at the pay point world wide they can influence1, the agri economy of third world countries, the milk yeild, eg the bannana crop of a small country can easily be undermined by adopting a stiff price sales will fall reducing that country borrowings on the money /loan borrowed from first world countries ,namely your own.
2. it is in the interest of yours and my goverment to allow such policies to exsist,we keep them dependant upon loans whilst increasing our internal investment in thier natural resources.
3. you could bring in a attempt to modify thier behaviour by legislation ,tarriffs, import duties ect,ect but how will this solve the need to expand in the creation of wealth, taxes imposed upon these global giants by the same goverment that allows it to happen in the first place. (im sure you could manage 10,000 words on that ) regards LF.

If philosophy is your chosen major, you must have a passionate understanding of some part of philosophy. That passion should be your topic.
