CHECK THE HISTORY CHANNEL, BUT IF YOU ARE REFERING TO THE PILGRIMS, THEY WERE FROM ENGLAND. COLUMBUS WAS FROM ITALY WHO DISCOVERED THE CARRIBEAN ISLAND. CORTEZ WAS FROM SPAIN THAT WENT TO MEXICO CITY. THEN YOU HAVE ERIC THE RED FROM NETHERLANDS AKA VIKINGS THAT WAS THE FIRST VISITOR TO ICELAND.

the first arrival and settling of white people was in the island "La Hispaniola" when Christopher Columbus arrive there and built up a fortress, and you may find it in wikipedia, search for Christopher Columbus voyage's or firsts Spanish settlers

The first colony in the New world by the English was Jamestown Colony on what is now "Viriginia." Go to the below Jamestown National Park service link and it will answer most of your questions.

vikings,discovered america first,before cortez, before columbus, im not sure that they settled, columbus built a fortress, the english pilgrim fathers sailed to america on the mayflower settled in pennsylvania, new england, ect check out wikopedia. LF
