Books are so much better! With the tv it is almost like having strangers invade your home because you have no power over what is on the set, but with a book it is like you are INVITING FRIENDS over.
I love reading, love, love, love it.

I love reading so much more than watching TV because you can imagine the characters in the book to look and sound anyway you want them to. With TV, everything is just presented to you as "this is the way this character looks and talks" but eventually, Hollywood runs out of actors and too many characters form different shows and movies tend to blend together.
Good example:
Watching the movie Troy, I half expected to see Brad Pitt turn into Tyler Durden and start a Fight Club inside the walled city of Troy, while Daniel Ocean robbed them blind.

Me! Me! Pick me!
(lol) Sorry, it's a good question. I have to say that reading is so much more better then tv. *Huggles books tightly* I don't know what it is, but I feel so lost if I don't get my daily dosage of book reading.
Reading strengthens my communication skills, which would be writing and speaking. I find myself writing stories all the time, writing ideas for one. Reading requires a certain use of the imagination, to picture the scene that is being described. I'm in love with words and what can be done with them...you know that one long winded sentence can be said only in one or two words.
But each to his own...
Some people have different 'learning style' some people learn better and enjoy things with moving visuals and sounds.
Some people...like me, or you...enjoy visuals on paper, we recreate the scenes decribed on paper, as images in our minds.
Happy Reading! Or Tv watching! =)

Reading is better and more fun than anything. When I was growing up we didn't have tons and tons of money. My dad took me to the library every week and told me that you could never be poor if you had a library card. I've been through some quite hard times as an adult - but I've never been poor.

I personally prefer reading. You can read a book anytime and anywhere. For watching TV you (normally) need at least a TV set and electricity.
