Graphic Designers? What has been your experience??

I'm a graphic designer in the Midwest (Indiana) and wondered where fellow graphic designers where located. What has been your experiences? Where are you located? What do you enjoy/hate about this field??

I'm coming up on my 2nd year with my first professional position as a G.D. and don't see opportunities for advancement where I'm at. What's the best advice? Should I just stick it out for another year to have more experience or is 2 years enough to advance in terms of title & salary? Does anyone know about what to expect as your salary as a graphic designer with a company (no freelance estimates please).

Durham Family history help?

I've been trying to research my husband's family history. I have ordered the certificates of those that I can trace and have received them today. I am abit stumped at the moment with his grandfather because his name is so common.

In the certificate, they got married at St. Paul's in Deaf Hill *** Langdale on January 1923.

The info on the grandfather is as follows:

name: William Groves
age: 30
status: widower
occupation: fitter
father's name: William Groves (deceased)
occupation: joiner

I want to add this parents and former wife on the list but I don't know how to go about it. There are just too many William Groves on the list.

I will appreciate any help on the matter. Thanks in advance.

Fun Under-Age Dance Clubs in CT Area, any location or club that has a under-age night.? Do you know any?

Me and my friends love to go dance but we can't find any under-age clubs and it's too much work to try to sneak into a regular one. Any ideas to help some sad high-school girls? The closer to new haven the better, thanks!

quartering of soldiers act?

ok so we are making a rap for the bill of rights and i have to do ammendant 3 and i was thinking for one of my lines to be "this ammendmant was place becaused of what the british did to the colonists in 1768" but im not sure if that is true.

my question is when did the quartering of soldiers happen?
