I'm trying to find out who the artist is of this picture. I'll describe it the best I can. Black background, head and shoulders of a person, but the face is skewed and the eye on the left-hand side is right on the edge of the person's face. His / her face is a hotchpotch of blue, pink and grey.

These days anything can be art. A swirl of colors on a styrofoam plate can be art. Some guy screaming words about killing people can be art. A steamy romance novel with every other page involving a dozen grammar errors and at least one sex scene is art...

What do you consider art and where do you draw the line between art and modern crap?

I have some enlargements which look fantastic and have had matting cut but when I put them in they don't look smooth and flat. I have been taping them to the mounting but the photos look like they are bent when the light catches the photos

even as children, a three year old girl can be seen dancing to a song just for fun. how often do you see a little boy dance? or how about within a group of friends, havent you ever caught one of your lady friends dancing out of bordem? just little steps to keep them occupied while a conversation picks up. or how about when one girl is showing another girl steps to a dance, what is with this fascination they seem to have?

i have been doing ballet for ten years, but i don't have pointe shoes.
what types of things should i be doing to prepare?
is it very painful?
how should a pointe shoe fit?
is it extremely inportant to warm up before using pointe shoes?
should i buy a ballet barre for my first practices?
before getting any i will ask my teacher- but is it a good idea or unnecessary to book a private lesson with her once i get them so she can help to show me how to use them?
is flexability important when it comes to going en pointe?

i live about an hour and a half away from there but it's my closest.
THANKYOU!!!

i know the south resented the book because it was an unfair and somewhat exaggerated, (in their opinion), portrayal of the way they treated their slaves, but did they take any action against the book itself? how did the south respond to harriet beecher stowe's book, "Uncle Tom's Cabin"?

This is my second year playing the flute in my school band. I've had feedback that when I'm holding long notes, I tend to go flat towards the end. I've tried my best to use my diaphragm to support my note and not play so loud but it doesn't seem to work.

Also, sometimes even though I don't touch my headjoint, the first time I play a note, I may be sharp. However the second time I play it, it may become flat. Why?

My last question... I can't reach the lowest note on my flute, C. However, when I try playing that note on another flute, I'm able to play it easily. Is there something I can do to my own flute to fix that problem?
