I'm trying to find out who the artist is of this picture. I'll describe it the best I can. Black background, head and shoulders of a person, but the face is skewed and the eye on the left-hand side is right on the edge of the person's face. His / her face is a hotchpotch of blue, pink and grey.

If you really want help with that you should post the picture online somewhere and link to it. If you go to http://www.flickr.com you can post the photo and submit it to a group dedicated to identifying pictures/artists. Sounds like a Picaso to me but I'm no expert on art. Good luck.

Why do you're taking your portrait with a digital camera? I'm no longer an artist paint smart however I'm definite it may support along with your expertise and again within the day while there was once no cameras they might paint themselves and had been generally truer to what they gave the impression of than what any individual else could have performed.
