Because you can have sex with humans but you can't kill and eat them. (and by you can't...I mean morally...yes you can physically kill and eat a human...but you can physially have sex with some animals too)
What does killing and eating them have to do with having sex with them?

you really won't enjoy it, you know,with four legs and all? unless you are thinking of having sex with a chicken...
then again if we can kill and eat animal than why can't we marry them? or have them as our business partner? why can't we have them as a witness of a crime in a court?

It is physically possible.
