Many people would believe that aliens would have to exist if space was infinite (it seems the logical choice). But if you include time into the equation, it becomes a less plausible theory.
Time is also infinite as long as it can be subjected onto something - which it always can - Could be anything from the length of a thought to an atom
As an example: If time is infinite, an alien race could have had infinite time to develop, infinite time to live and infinite time to be destroyed before we even came to exist.
Though this does, by no means, negate the existence of extra terrestrial existence. What it means for me is that the chances are 50% (half to time and half to space)
