I found this wonderful book (I actually got it from Goodwill) called "The Book of Scenes for Acting Practice" by Marshall Cassady. It has monologues and scenes from well-known plays for men, women, two men, two women, etc. In the section on scenes for two women, they had scenes from Romeo and Juliet, Blithe Spirit, The Glass Menagerie, Lion in Winter, and The Importance of Being Earnest. I particularly liked the one from The Glass Menagerie. It was the scene where Amanda confronts Laura about skipping out on her class. It's a dramatic scene, definately not a comedy. If you can get it, I would really recommend the book because it has information on the plays and questions that help you think through your characters. If not, I would look for a copy of the script of The Glass Menagerie or whichever play it is you want to do. Good luck!
