I heard once that if you do not know where you originally came from,
(meaning anytime before 1492 when people started to move all over the world) that you can take a blood test and it can tell your ancestry. All I know is that my people were brought in a slave ship many years ago. I guess there could be many answer to this. But if anybody knows of a doctor or business that does something like that. Let me know. Or if there is another way let me know as well. Thank you all in advance for your respectful responses.

does anybody know what part it is in the book, where his cousin (Des Esseinte's cousin), or some relative, hands Des Esseintes some flowers, and he says he can't tolerate the smell and sprays them with some perfume? Because this is the ultimate decheance and "a rebours", and I need it for my report. Give me the chapter and I'll be fine, 'cause there's so many versions of it out anyway. Preferably a quote from "Against the Grain". (The English translated version.)

As a man, I find it extremely difficult to learn new moves in partner dances.
All women have to do is dance with men who are better than they are, and they learn new moves!
I can dance with a woman who is better than I am, but she just gets bored because I'm expected to lead everything!

I'm in my fifth semester of Salsa but you'd swear I hadn't finished my second. I sit and watch good dancers but they move too fast for me to see what they do.
I know the best answer is to find a steady partner, but it's not like those just fall out of the sky: I've been looking for one all through college, in vain.

HOW CAN MEN LEARN NEW MOVES IF WE'RE ALREADY SUPPOSED TO KNOW THEM ALL?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

See, I promised my daughter we would go shopping tomarrow but it's going to rain and be gloomy all day and she said she would rather stay home and do some crafts. She's 12 years old and likes to do stuff alone, she has a sowing machine and basicly anything else for a full day of crafting, but she's not sure what to make. Does anybody have any ideas for crafts that we could do? I checked all over the internet but I found nothing to interesting.

And one more thing...
She's pretty impatient! Maybe something without alot of glue? She likes to be constantly working... Not sitting around waiting for glue to dry.

What do you think about it?

(If you don't like it because of the Christian references, find something else to post about!)

One or two kids are trapped in a museum overnight and the book is about the adventures they had in the museum. I loved that book as a kid and would love to find it again and I need help.
For some reason I feel that the title has a womans full name in it.

"The Vedas have the three gunas as their subject; be above the three qualities, O Arjuna. Free from the pairs of opposites, be firmly established in purity, and not caring for gain and preservation, be possessed of the Self. "

"Know for certain that the Vedas are pervaded by the three qualities. All the Upanishads and the like are endowed with the quality of goodness. Other religious texts are imbued with passion and darkness, as they speak of rites which lead to heaven, O Arjuna. Knowing that they only cause pleasure and pain, do not entertain them in your mind. Forsake this triad of qualities and give up the sense of 'Me' and 'Mine", and do not for a moment forget the bliss flowing from the self."

What do you think is the best book by Dan Brown? Put them in the order from the one you like the most, to the one you don't like too much:

The books are: Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point, and Digital Fortress.(Don't put the ones you havn't read in your list.)

For me its:

1. Angels and Demons
2.The Da Vinci Code

Havn'e read Digital Fortress or Deception Point, but I read the first few chapters of Deception Point on the back of Angels and Demons, and I want to read it bad!!

Anyone recomend the two I havn't read, or should I not waste my time.

Has anyone ever heard of a book called Broken Sky? I was wondering if it ever ended up with any sequels. I would like to find them if there are. Don't you just hate it when you remember a book from so many years ago and it STILL drives you nuts that the story was left on a cliff hanger?

My friend & I are going to be in our school's talent contest, and we really need some help in finding some good, fun songs to sing. We're looking for two. They'd need to be fun to sing, fun to watch, fun to dance to, and overall upbeat. Any titles would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance =)
