What do you think is the best book by Dan Brown? Put them in the order from the one you like the most, to the one you don't like too much:

The books are: Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point, and Digital Fortress.(Don't put the ones you havn't read in your list.)

For me its:

1. Angels and Demons
2.The Da Vinci Code

Havn'e read Digital Fortress or Deception Point, but I read the first few chapters of Deception Point on the back of Angels and Demons, and I want to read it bad!!

Anyone recomend the two I havn't read, or should I not waste my time.

Kurt C, you suck, if Angels and Demons doesn't keep you in complete amazement, kill yourself, you suck! Yeah, we all seem to agree, Angels and Demons is the best!

I'm joking abou the kill yourself thing, but you should see if you ARE still alive if you don't like it!

Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point

I have read all four, but I think I enjoyed them more until I realized how repetitive they were getting. I mean, the basic plotline and characters are the same or close enough to politely tip their hats to each other, although the details differ. However, for masterful storytelling, I think Angels and Demons deserves first place, followed by The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point and Digital Fortress following in this order. I have to say I loved the German guy in Digital Fortress!

In order of sucking, books at the top suck less:

1. Da Vinci Code
2. Angels and Demons (look ma! no parachute!)
3. Digital Fortress. Technically inaccurate, deus ex machina plot.
4. Deception Point. Guessed the basic part of the plot in the first 10 pages or so.

1 and 2 are decent and entertaining reads. Had Langdon not pulled the helicopter stunt, I would feel Angels and Demons was better.

I am of course eager for the Freemasons book, I like in the DC metro area and I am sure this book is going to raise a lot of hell around here.

I've only read the Da Vinci Code, but I heard Angels and Demons is his best one. I guess that makes Da Vinci second.

1. Angels & Demons
2. Da vinci code
3. Digital Fortress
4. Deception Point.

I have read all four. If you are in India, if you contact me, you may borrow the boks from me. ( I have a fairly good private library)
Pl read the other two novels. they are also eqaully good.

Digital fortress is regarding the digital security break of the NSA's super computer data base. it's very thrilling and informative. good.

Deception point is about a lie the president of US is made to go public with regarding a NASA find. It is very fictious. Though it is good, I found it familiar to Alistair Maclean novels rather than a DAN BROWN novel. not bad.

I'm with you on 'Angels & Demons'as the best. I haven't read 'Digital Fortress' or 'Deception Point' yet, but might. 'Da Vinci Code' was good, maybe very good, but I still think the press it got for it was ridiculously overblown. I didn't think it was a masterpiece or anything. Why did Bishop Aringarosa so readily believe the person calling him who said he was in the know about the Priory identities? (I don't want to say too much & spoil it for folks who may want to read it & haven't yet.)
I'm looking forward to his new one out next yr, about the Freemasons, Washington D.C., and the symbolism.
