If so, how do you keep track of them?

I do. I keep a list of the title and author.

I try to copy quotes out of them (saved in a text file) so I can remember which book it was I read something in or in case, I completely forget what it was about and draw a blank looking at my list of titles and authors.

Not really, unless it's by an author that I really like; then I update a list I have online of all my books. I'm an avid reader and if I really like a book I'll keep it because I will always read it again. That's my criteria for keeping books; if I know that I'm never going to re-read it, I won't keep it. Too many other good books out there.

I have over 1100 books of my own; this isn't counting the books the other members of my family that have their own collections.

i wish i did that so that if i want to reread a book, i can just look at the list. You can keep a notebook, write the name of the book, and when you're done, write like a 2 sentence summary to help you remember if you want to read it again.

No I don't, but if you did just keep them in order by when you've read them. Write a little summary to remind you what the book is about.

not per se but i do keep almost all the books i read. i have them stored alphabetically by author on shelves so i can refer back to them easily.
actually most of them are in boxes now but you get the idea.

Sometimes, and it's usually just by memory, sometimes I forget though, and then if I piece of the book comes back to me it bugs me to no end, what the book is.

I used to. It got to be too much because I read SO much. Plus, what did it matter in the long run?
