I'm not quite sure what it's called, but I know it can be done in programs like photoshop and even on some cameras. If you take a picture and make it black and white, you can keep some areas or certian objects in color. If anyone could help me out on what this is called OR how it's done that'd be great! And just for reference, I only have Photoshop version 5.0 I believe. Thanks <3.

Please help. I'm at the libary and I need to get out some books of various artists for my art history assignment. I have to chose 9 paintings by different artists and my theme is Illusion. I thought I would do some Neo-classical work, since it is very idealised, some modern art and some pure illusions. Do you have any suggestions or ideas of works that will have lots of information on them? I need to be able to identify subjects and themes, interpret subjects and stylistic devices! Thanks =)

Christian profess faith in God. Therefore, heaven is something you have to believe in. Yet, why is heaven something we cannot get excited about? The promise of heaven is something that should commit us to really work for God. And in the process, like what Jesus did for example, if we should die in a couple of months doing the will of God, then it's great . . . we'll be with Him for eternity. Isn't that awesome ! Ah, well, hmm . . . why can't we get excited about heaven?

I particularly like words for random obscure things that you never think have names. Eg. Ferrule - the band of metal that goes around the bottom of a wooden walking stick. (It also has something to do with a guitar i think.)

I know about the horrible things that the Japanese and Germans did...
In fact, my country was once occupied by the Japan.

Still, as I began learning more about how the wars went,
I began to wonder about how the Allies fought them.

Japanese-Americans being put into concentration camps..
the nuking of 2 Japanese cities that killed millions..
bombing of German cities....
just to name a few of the things they did.

Maybe it is easy for me to question them NOW.
But I wasn't around back then, and I would have spoken up against these acts.

Innocents must never be targeted, and that is what they did.

If they hadn't done all those things,
there would have been more Allied casualties...
the wars would have gone on much longer...
but then, isn't that the risk that those who fight on the side of good
have to take?

Nobody who kills millions of innocent people
can claim the moral high ground.

Don't take me wrong, though. I AM grateful for what they
did for us...

Your thoughts?

I'm not new, but not exactly very good with photography. To a point I can do it. I've been taking photos of clothing I make outside for the summer, and have been quite pleased with the turnout. However, winter is just around he corner and I need to take photos inside.
I'm looking for lighting tips for indoor photography. I take indoor fashion shots and need something that gives me decent light. Not regular lighting that makes everything look yellow/orange.
Also, There are not many windows here so light from outside is limited.
Any help would be GREALY appreciated.
Thanks.

Your hands and feet are tied, you are nailed shut in a coffen and dropped in a 6' ft hole with a ton of dirt on top and less than an hour of air. You are barried alive.

With only a spoon and a flashlight, how in the hell do you get out of there before you die?
