So did his Dad. In admissions lingo he was a "legacy" and a rich one at that. They're almost automatically accepted. The payoff for the university or college is that it builds good relations and therefore alumni donations, etc. I'm sure if George W. was left to his own devices, he'd be lucky to make it into Fred's Community College and Grocery.

He isnt stupid. even with tutors he would still have to have more than half a brain to get through yale at all. and most people dont like him because they think he's making bad decisions for the USA, sending our people over to the east and taking out terrorists. Every president before him did pretty much nothing, or not nearly as much as needed. People assume that we're fighting a rational enemy. but rational people dont strap bombs to themselves and kill hundreds of people. If he were to pull the troops out of iraq and such, most people believe that the terrorism will stop, but in fact it will get worse. someone had to do something about it, and bush is doing his best. So what if he has a speech impediment? That doesnt make him stupid at all, that just means he has a stutter.

Just because you have average grade's in high school does not mean that you will not do well in college. I have a daughter who had passing grades in high school. Ended up with a scholarship to college, and now carrys a 3.0 or better. I think it depends on who is teaching you. How interested you are in what your learning. The fact that you are finally doing something that you are interested in. Not the basic, run of the mill classe's. Sometimes the people answering all the questions in the class, are the people who never make it to walk the stage for graduation. "I don't think George Bush is stupid" I think he had to do what the Goverment made him do..and he is blamed for it. I don't think it matters "who we vote for" they are going to put in there whoever they want anyway. Sometimes I don't even want to vote...but I think it is a privilege so I continue to do so.

George Bush received C's in high school.

His father bought him into Yale where he continued to get C's in College.

His father bought his son's way into the presidency of the united states (with help from his brother, Jeb, who is just as retarded)

And George W. Bush, The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Has failed at every other Job he's ever held down.

This is who the majority voted for. go figure.

He got C's at Yale, too. His parents bought his way in by making gifts to the school. Without their money, he would be a cashier at 7/11. He has failed at every job he ever had.

Ultimately the ones who think so are usually the ones who disagree with some decision he made. Rarely do I ever hear someone who agrees with a decision and still call him stupid... get what I mean? I personally don't think he is stupid at all, and I have a huge respect for him.

People gotta chill... I mean he has the country on his shoulders and the world watching him, he is doing the best he can. Many people can't even keep a credit card under control, and they judge him?

He comes from a privileged family.
If I had his marks, I would be lucky to get into a boot camp!
When Daddy goes to Yale, they make allowances for slacker sons and daughters!
He is an overacheiver is some areas!

Hate to join into the "choir" but I think that his father went to the school as well - qualifying him for a legacy admission. Also, it does not hurt to be the son of a President of the United States.

how did he get through yale? endless hours of prof tutoring, ppl writing his papers...how is he president? mabey the average joe feels he can relate to the guy? or his stupidity is a brilliant front that allows him to not only talk in circles, but in complete nonsence?

i'm perplexed by ability of this. Why might libs be upset which you're calling Bush dumb? maximum are against him and think of he's not clever besides. Bush is unquestionably fairly clever, so is Kerry.
