I'm not quite sure what it's called, but I know it can be done in programs like photoshop and even on some cameras. If you take a picture and make it black and white, you can keep some areas or certian objects in color. If anyone could help me out on what this is called OR how it's done that'd be great! And just for reference, I only have Photoshop version 5.0 I believe. Thanks <3.

If your getting into photography time to invest, Adobe Photoshop CS. I think the price has come down from the 800. I bought it for, but if you want to change a photo it can do just about anything you can think of.

Two copies of the same picture, one in color, one in BW, in separate layers. The top layer holds the color picture. Erase off the top layer the parts that you don't want, which will turn that part of the layer transparent. If you are careful nobody will ever notice those are two pictures stacked.
