Probably not. Everything in the universe is made up of energy, so in order to create a new form of energy, it would require using an already existing form, so therefore "destroying" the original.

Depends on the definition of destroy. If by destroy you mean change from the state it was in before the creation of said object, then no.

P.S. The neurons in your mind will take on a different configuration to store the memory of your thought.
