Christian profess faith in God. Therefore, heaven is something you have to believe in. Yet, why is heaven something we cannot get excited about? The promise of heaven is something that should commit us to really work for God. And in the process, like what Jesus did for example, if we should die in a couple of months doing the will of God, then it's great . . . we'll be with Him for eternity. Isn't that awesome ! Ah, well, hmm . . . why can't we get excited about heaven?

It's rather distant, for one thing, until you die.
Your idea of what Heaven is has a great deal to say about how excited you would be to get there. People floating in clouds singing endless praises to God's glory doesn't turn me on. The idea that Heaven is a paradise where there is no disease, winter, starvation or suffering, and where lusty fairy maidens abound, is much more my cup of tea. You have to expand your mind.

Because Heaven is the great unknown, no matter what your faith is. Also, heaven means different things to different people, I'm sure my version is very different from yours or anybody elses. Lots of times, the sense of loss, personally, somewhat clouds the belief of heaven and what it means. I do believe that there is a lot more to life than our time here, so, for me, I'm not afraid.

Because we're not in heaven right now. If God wanted you to concentrate on heaven you'de be born in heaven. But God wants you on earth so why don't you concentrate on that and let heaven take care of itself.

Heaven is a reality to those with a spiritual connection to God, who knows God, and is known by God. Those who are not restored to God cannot consciously perceive God as a literal Entity, whereby they know His voice and sense His presence. Which is why God is dead to them because they are not alive to God.

Because everyone has their doubts. I do even though i truly believe in heaven.

Read the book "90 minutes in Heaven" Very good book, but near the last half it gets kind of boring, but still read it.

The ones that get excited about it are flying planes into skyscrapers or taking their flocks to Jonestown, Waco texas, or other get-of-the-earth locations. The rational ones are keeping their feet on the ground and not getting excited until its their time.

I think it's because we don't use our imaginations about it. Heaven is not restricted to only one view since we do not know what it is going to be like. What does an angel looklike?
